I hope you all are healthy and safe from the coronavirus. It’s definitely been a scary year so far. At first I read all the news I could find and scared myself and worried my family. I didn’t go out to stock up because I was sick with the pneumonia. I experienced with shopping online a few times but I prefer to pick my own groceries. Then I stopped reading the news because I don’t want to live in fear. I started going grocery shopping again but wearing masks. I wear masks but I dislike it because it’s really hard to breathe and it’s sad that we can’t smile to one another anymore. This COVID-19 is truly a scary chemical weapon against humanity. I really hope there’s a way to rid of it soon. I feel bad for the kids that are missing a proper education. Now they are saying a lot more people are sick again and it definitely a depressing feeling.
Books are the best distraction during this difficult time. In June I read and reviewed 5 books! Two thrillers from Cormoran Strike series were The Cuckoo’s Calling and The Silkworm. They both were excellent! I enjoyed a YA historical fiction called Deadly Curious and a YA retelling called Girl, Serpent, Thorn. A middle grade book called Face the Music was interesting. A read for kids who want to learn how to think business and earn pocket money! I recommend everyone to read my stack of books! I enjoyed reading them all.
How was your reading in June? How are you feeling with COVID-19?
Happy Reading and hope you will enjoy many excellent books!
