My Experience: I started reading Max Einstein: Rebels with a Cause on 8/29/2019 and finished it on 9/5/2019. Holiday weekend plus having guests and reading don’t mix well for me. This book is another fantastic read! I love the adventures. Max is such a positive role model. A busy body, Max is always on the go and doesn’t like sitting around doing nothing. I like that she looks up to geniuses for inspirations. I like how Max thinks on her feet and implement what she has to protect herself from the bad guys like using the cheeseburgers as a weapon. Since this book is the second in the series, readers get a chance to know more about other CMI team members. Klaus is definitely an interesting fella!

This book is told in the third person point of view following Maxine (Max), 12 physics prodigy, as she attempted to sneak out of her secure home. This secure home with 2 bodyguards was provided by Ben Abercrombie, the 14 years old billionaire and CMI’s benefactor who insisted that Max lives here for her safety because the bad guys from The Corp wanted to kidnap her. This book continues from book one where Max should stay home to lay low while waiting for the next big Change Makers Institute (CMI) mission. Max is very smart. She teaches college students at Columbia University and participate with other international intelligent kids in CMI projects that focus on making the world a better place. This year the CMI team are going to Ireland and India to solve water contamination problem.

Max Einstein: Rebels with a Cause is very well written and a fast paced read! I love learning more about Einstein and his quotes. I love how math & science is utilized to apply to real life crisis and made easier to understand. An example is the situation at the party: Tisa using baking soda with vinegar to create carbon dioxide gas and then mix it with hot peppers to use as a weapon. I know about the mixture but I don’t know that the combination is called carbon dioxide gas and to learn it in an adventure book is much easier to comprehend! I like the topic of clean water crisis in this story because it’s such an important basic needs of human. Robots are interesting to get to know and I do recommend everyone to read this book.

Pro: fast paced, page turner, adventure, math & science, robots, Ireland, India, water

Con: none

I rate it 5 stars!
