Where Have I Been??

Hi Everyone!

Hope you missed me 🙂 A lot has changed for me in the last couple of months of 2018.

  • Baby News: I’m currently at 2.5 months pregnant with my second child. This pregnancy is a lot tougher on me than my first one. I experience those morning sickness I heard scary stories about. Mine is still tolerable compare to others, but it’s enough to wore me out.
  • Career Advances: My manager got let go and I have been doing both of our jobs. Another girl left and I have assume some of her responsibilities too. My days at work are long and busy. As soon as I arrived home and ate dinner, I’m fast asleep.
  • Hawaii (see pictures below)

Most recently, I had a great experience on my first trip to Honolulu, Hawaii. Below are a few pictures. I participated in the Paradise Cove Luau – buffet dinner and live entertainment. It’s an awesome experience. I braided the flowers I wore on my wrist there. That flower has a gorgeous scent!

I took many pictures of different flowers I ran into.

I got to eat tropical fruits that I haven’t eat in over 20 years.

I went on my first submarine adventure. I got seasick so ocean adventure probably is my first and last.

Waikiki Beach is my most visited beach during this trip.

Since my last book review, I didn’t get a chance to read at all. I don’t know what my reading schedule is for 2019. I might quit my job and be a stay at home mom for a couple of years to my newborn because I just can’t handle doing 2.5 person jobs with just me. If I do quit, I will have more time to read and review. I don’t like being overworked and not having time to read at all either.

How’s your year-end treating you?

xoxo,
Jasmine

Congratulations on the baby!! I hope the morning sickness passes in the next couple weeks. It’s always tougher when you have other kids to look after and can’t just rest. Each first trimester was harder for me than the last, but then the remainder of the pregnancy was easier. Hopefully you’ll get some relief soon!

Thanks Lorilin! I have one week left of the first trimester to go and I’m counting off the days haha.. My 7 year old son actually wants to nap with me when I nap haha.. Do you have daughter and son? which would you say gives you the most trouble at first trimester? My mom thinks I will have a daughter because I’m experiencing all the trouble now compare to when I was pregnant with my son. I can’t wait to know the gender 🙂

Thanks Jeanne 🙂 I have been saving up for the time off.. I did similar with my first born 7 years ago, but that was due to relocation.. it was nice staying home with the little one and see all the growth 🙂

    Congratulations! That is amazing news.

I’m sorry to hear that work is so stressful – with being pregnant at the same time that sounds like a lot! No wonder you’re not reading – if I were you I think I would come home and fall asleep too!

Your trip looks lovely. I’m glad you were able to have some time away – it sounds like you really needed it.

I hope the job situation improves xx

Congratulations on the impending baby. 🙂

Your vacation photos look amazing. Hawaii is gorgeous, though I’m sorry you got sick on the submarine “adventure”.

My year started off with a bit of a disappointment re: something I’d hoped to do (go back to school, which I can’t do because I found out I won’t qualify for funding), but I guess I just have to move on.

I hope you’ll find some reading time one way or the other. Maye some soothing audiobooks while you hold the baby? 🙂

Thanks Harker 🙂 I’m glad you love school enough to go back 🙂 Hopefully you will be able to qualify for other grants or scholarships or work study. If you are working, sometimes companies do pay for you to go back to school. Hawaii is a beautiful place for vacation but the airplane ride is way too long.. more than 10 hours of flight for me.. my legs and back ache sitting in that cramp space hehe..

What fantastic news, I hope you and your husband are very happy! And yes, if you decide to become a full time mum, then you just might have more time to read. Glad to have you back, and wow did that trip look fabulous. Lucky you.
