Hi Everyone! It’s time to wrap up February! This month I read and reviewed 11 books (5 kids books and 6 regular). I am so happy and blessed to have read many great books! As you can see my numerous 5 stars below! 🙂 Please follow the link to read my reviews.
Toward the end of this month I have developed some health issues (Vertigo and others). I wonder if it’s related to reading on the iPhone even though my doctor said it’s not. I thought to take a break from reading but I feel empty without it. I may read less next month and rest more. No promise if I can stick to the plan..
1) Sashi and the Puppy Mill Girl by Linda Greiner. I rated it 5 stars!
2) I See You by Clare Mackintosh. I rated it 5 stars!
3) Honey Girl: The Hawaiian Monk Seal by Jeanne Walker Harvey. I rated it 5 stars!
4) Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone – Group Buddy Read by J. K. Rowling. I rated it 5 stars!
5) Vivian and the Legend of the Hoodoos by Terry Catasús Jennings. I rated it 5 stars!
6) Corruption by Jessica Shirvington. I rated it 5 stars!
7) Otis the Owl by Mary Holland. I rated it 5 stars!
8) The Leaf Reader by Emily Arsenault. I rated it 5 stars!
9) The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli. I rated it 5 stars!
10) A True Princess of Hawaii by Beth Greenway. I rated it 4.5 stars!
11) Everything You Want Me To Be by Mindy Mejia. I rated 4.5 stars!
This month I have trouble reading The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco. I saw many DNFs on Goodreads so there’s no motivation to read further. How was your February? I hope it’s good!!
xoxo,
Jasmine
Wow, great job Jasmine! Eleven books is a lot! Congrats 🙂
I’m sorry about your health issues… I hope you’re doing better! Are you taking any medication for it? I don’t think reading on your phone vs reading a paperback would make much of a difference but you never know. Maybe test it out for a while and see if you’ve improved. If not, then it’s probably unrelated and you can at least try getting into reading again.
Get well soon! ❤

Thanks Sophie! I am seeing an Ear Doctor. Follow up appointment in two weeks. I really can’t stay away from reading so I still read haha.. Have you been reading much? I noticed your blog are tags/awards focused in recent weeks 🙂

Oh that’s great news! Hopefully he’ll fix you right up in time for more reading sessions 🙂
I’ve been reading a little bit but not as much as I’d wanted to! All my recent reviews have ended up on Goodreads actually.
I had tons of tags to do so I figured I should get to them. I wanted to mix things up a little bit 🙂 But I want to get some reviews up on the blog soon!

So you do post more reviews on Goodreads than on your blog?

Right now, I think so. It depends.

Thanks for visiting and liking Faded Beauty. Sorry to hear about your vertigo. Perhaps you might consider reading from the occasional physical book to vary from always reading from a screen.

I am sorry to hear about your health problems.
I hope you are fine now? Or at least that soon you will be.
I don’t know if reading books on phone can cause vertingo, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it effects eyes.
e-ink screen is way better for eyes.

I have since read more on the iPad since the screen is bigger. I did asked a doctor about it and he says it should irritate the eyes, not the head. He thinks my Vertigo is caused from me being sick with runny nose in the past months. I’m feeling little better by little now.. just have to be patient and wait it out. Thank you for your well wishes Irena! 🙂

You had an awesome reading month!! I only managed to read 4 books haha
The Upside of Unrequited seems really interesting, I’ve seen so many people talk about it 😀

I wish that book was around when I was 17 haha.. the main character questions many things I also thought of.. it’s a good read. You have school so that’s a lot already 🙂

Oh no! I hope that you feel better soon! Vertigo is not something to mess around with. 😦 Perhaps you can just focus on reading bound paper books for a while? You can’t give up reading!
So are you going to DNF The Bone Witch? I respect DNF’ing. 🙂

Thanks Jackie! Vertigo is nasty.. I’m seeing a specialist for it but it’s still there.. only time will tell I guess.. Too many readers on Goodreads said The Bone Witch is not good, so I am undecided about picking it back up. Do you plan to read? Do you have the ARC? It’s on NetGalley.

Yeah– I plan on reading The Bone Witch. I have the ARC, but I’ve been putting it off because of those reviews. I hear it’s mostly a pacing issue; the plot gets a bit lost in the world building and character development. I think I will probably still enjoy it because I *adore* character development. 🙂

It’s a lucky month to have many 5 stars read 🙂 I hope you will enjoy reading the Upside of Unrequited in March! 🙂

Very lucky! I don’t usually give too many books a 5 star rating – this was a weird month lol. I hope I like it too!!!

Oh no about the health issues! I hope you get to feeling better soon, Jasmine! 💕
All things aside it looks like you have a fantastic reading month. I didn’t read nearly as many books as you but I had a pretty great one because I spent the month rereading my favorite series. I hope you have a great March! 😊

Thank you for your well wishes 🙂 Re-reading is great too 🙂 just too bad can’t write any reviews haha.. I am too eager to read and review new books that I don’t re-read often. I am excited to discover new books to add to the re-read shelf though 🙂 I hope you will have a good reading month in March as well! 🙂

You’re welcome!! ♥
True, the one downside to rereading is definitely the fact that you can’t write another review. 😂
