Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I didn’t have the best this month, but surprisingly, I have read and reviewed many books! The most all year long. I was sick (cough & congested) twice this December. I went to the doctor and filled myself up with antibiotics and cough syrups. I slept a lot but felt tired a lot. Cheers to good health in the new year!! Wishing you all the best in 2017. I read & reviewed 33 books in 2015 and 53 books in 2016. My 2017 reading challenge is to read & review 50 regular books and 50 children’s books. I haven’t decided if I will review 50 children’s books on my blog, but for sure, you can find my reviews of them on Goodreads.
Here are books I have read & reviewed in December 2016
CHILDREN’S BOOKS:
1) Ginger and Moe and the Incredible Coincidence by Linda DeFruscio-Robinson. I rated 4.5 stars!
2) The Glaciers are Melting! by Donna Love. I rated 4 stars!
3) A Warm Winter Tail by Carrie A. Pearson. I rated 5 stars!
4) The Hungriest Mouth in the Sea by Peter Walters. I rated 5 stars!
YOUNG ADULT BOOKS:
1) Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo – Buddy Read with Klara @ Ribbon Reviews. I rated 4.5 stars!
2) Hunted by Meagan Spooner – Buddy Read with Sam @ One Bookish Girl. I rated 5 stars!
3) Roseblood by A.G. Howard – Buddy Read with Irena @ Book Dust Magic. I rated 3 stars!
4) Ever the Hunted by Erin Summerill – Buddy Read with Stephanie at TeacherofYA. I rated 3.5 stars!
5) A List of Cages by Robin Roe – Buddy Read with Irena at Book Dust Magic. I rated 5 stars!
6) A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. I rated 4 stars!
7) The Color of Cold and Ice by J. Schlenker. I rated 4 stars!
Definitely a good reading month. I realized I have read more this month is due to the buddy reads I have scheduled. Cheers to more Buddy Reads in 2017!!
How did you finish the year with?
xoxo,
Jasmine

It’s a really good book. Life changing book. You have to give it a read when you get a chance 🙂

I will! I don’t know if I should just order it on Amazon or go to my local bookstore…what if they’re all sold out there?

Guess you will have to check out a few different places 🙂

You are so ambitious, Jasmine! I really respect that. I personally would love to see the children’s books reviewed here. I struggle to find good books for my nieces and nephews. This would expose me to a lot more. 🙂
I’m glad you are feeling better. Here’s to health, happiness, and more books in 2017! 🙂

Awesome list, Jasmine! Are you feeling better now? I hope you reach your goal! I’m so excited to read A List of Cages! Most people say Ever the Hunted was pretty awful so I’m kind of scared to read that. Happy new year!

Happy New Year Shouni. Thanks, I am still having the cold. The antibiotics just not working. It just takes time I guess. Read A List of Cages first. It’s really good! 😊

I find it so interesting that our reading taste are so different ! Lol I’ve noticed a lot of the time the books you’ve really liked are ones I haven’t and vise versa ! I like it though it’s always nice to see how people appreciate it even though it might not be your thing.

I have the same feeling as you when I see other bloggers’ reviews 😂 Like Roseblood, it’s so bad yet others loved it lol but you’re right, it’s good to see different opinions from everyone. Different reviews makes it interesting to read 😊

I haven’t read y yet but I want to. And I enjoyed the authors other books so I feel like I might be apart of the group that loves it 😹😹. Yet I hated shadow and bone lol. Yeah seeing why people loved it helps find the good I think.

Since you hated Shadow and Bone, did you still finish the series?

I’m not sure why I can’t access your blog. I thought it doesn’t work on the phone but it doesn’t on the computer too.

Weird I’ll have to look into that

I see the difference.. in the reader feed, I able to access it. But from the link on your name on this comment section I can’t. It’s because your blog URL has an extra k. The one on this comment is missing the extra k.

That’s weird lol! I’ll have to see if I can change it

Sorry you were sick so much last month! That had to be no fun with the holidays. All things aside it seems like you had a pretty great reading month though. I hope you have a fantastic 2017, Jasmine! ♥😊

Sorry you weren’t feeling well last month. I hope you’re feeling much better now! And congrats on managing to complete that many reviews in a month. I did terrible reviewing haha. I’m 7 books behind 😀 You read some great books in December! I hope this month goes just as well for you!

Thanks Azia! I can’t read on without reviewing right after I finished reading a book because I will forget the details. Lucky that you can remember and write your reviews anytime!!

Haha, most times I can but I recently made the mistake of reading a series without taking notes, so now I’m blending the events together. I think, for the most part, it’s best to write the review right after finishing, just to be safe! 😀 My lack of review writing mostly stems from procrastination LOL. You’re on top of your game! Don’t end up like me haha XD

Reading takes a lot of time. I don’t want to lose a review by procrastinating on it hehe Guess you will have to review the whole series as one 😊

Happy new year 😀 I hope you feel better now 🙂 Wow you reviewed 53 books in 2016, that is a lot 🙂 I only reviewed 10, but that is because reviewing books was totally new for me. And still I use a lot of time on the reviews I write.

Happy New Year to you too! My reviews are short and non-spoilers. I don’t go into details and dissect every aspects of the book. It usually takes me 1-2 hours to write one up 😊

Yeah mine too, usually. I’m thinking of doing more mini reviews. They are easier for me to write 🙂

I like reading mini reviews too. It doesn’t cost a lot of time and I still get what I look for from the reviews 😊
