My Experience: I read The Hungriest Mouth in the Sea for my 5 year-old on 12/10/16 before his bedtime. This book introduces many animals and even plants under the sea. Each page, a question is asked if this animal/plant eats the most. Finally in the end, we get to find out who eats the most or who stands at the top of the food chain. Like the other two books I have reviewed from this publisher, the back of the book has all the facts about marine mammals. I absolutely love these facts, especially when there are definitions for words the kids may not understand. I love that the facts introduces which animals are extinct, which are preys and which are predators. These are amazing facts and I’m glad my son can learn them at an early age! The age range for these books are 4-8 years old. Definitely worth the investment.

Pro: awesome facts at the end of the book, names of the animals on each page, plants under the sea that eats too, a tease of what the next animal will be

About the Author: Peter Walters

After studying art in England and volunteering at a Montessori school, author Peter Walters traveled the world working in childcare and education. While he worked in Ghana, he helped children create their own books, but it was time spent in New Zealand that inspired Peter to write and illustrate his first picture book: The Hungriest Mouth in the Sea. Today, Peter draws inspiration from the rugged coast of Cornwall, England where he explores the green hills and barren moors with his family and Labrador, Tui.
