Hi Everyone! I am pleased to announce that I have been nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award by Pierina Reads. If you haven’t already familiar with her blog, please do stop by her blog today because you will be glad you do. Her blog has books, tips, tags, and so much more! Also, click on her link here to go read her 2 advices because they are really helpful!

RULES
•Write a post to show your award.
•Give a brief story of how your blog started.
•Give two pieces of advice for new bloggers.
•Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
•Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to.

line3HISTORY OF MY BLOG

I have many interests and my blog changes significantly from the day I started until today. I am glad to discover that books is where I stop at because I learn so many things from reading books. Although most of the books I read are fiction, but there are some truth in it. Many books are focused on friendship, family, love, education, ambition, cleverness, bravery, witty dialogues, family traditions, etc. I like to take away each lesson from each book I read. Even from a depressing book, the lesson is to try to look at the bright side so that you won’t be focusing on the sad side all the time and then get depress over it. My blog was born on July 2014 and I have learned so much since then.

line3MY 2 CENTS

1) Please do the tags you have been tagged on or awards you have been nominated even if you have already done it. It’s a chance to give a shout out to your fellow bloggers because they took the time to tag/nominate you. The award or tag may be the same but the questions will be different because each person who tag you came up with their own questions. I have done this award once before and I am deciding to do it again because I have different advices and I’m being nominated by a different blogger. So keep the tags and awards coming my way everyone! hahaha…

2) It’s prudent to comment on someone’s post with something they have written even if you have only been skimming their post. It’s easy to comment a generic comment of “thanks for tagging me” because they will know you don’t even bother to take the time to skim their post. We all know we spend a lot of time to make our post perfect and we feel happy when others acknowledged it. My advice is to skim only because I have to admit, I do skim too. My TBR list is miles long and I do want to write book reviews on my blog too, but I want to visit my followers’ blog so I only have time to skim their posts. Skimming is better than nothing.

Great advice Jasmine! I just suck at both of them XD. I’m behind on way too many tags because time has not been on my side for the past couple of months, but I remember them as well! And skimming a little is a wonderful way to save some time, but I’m SO bad at it :’). I almost never do it in books either, but it’s definitely something to start training myself in order to get more done around here! *puts on Rambo bandana*

Congratulations on the award girl! You deserve it. 😉
I agree with all that you have said. Plus as a blogger, comments weigh so much heavier than likes and I feel that getting a negative feedback is better than getting nothing at all. And anyways, interacting with the other blogs is actually way more fun than staying on your own, don’t you think? Just imagine the myriads of stuff you could learn from them.. 😍
And by the way, thanks for the nomination! It means a lot to me. 😊

You’re right. I’m still amazed to be interacting with bloggers from half the world away and actually read the same book as me! By the way, I started Crosstalk. It’s interesting like you say. Are you done with the book?

CB talks to Briddey in her head and she doesn’t believe him, she just got the EED and still in hospital. It’s all technology in this book huh? Also I feel Trent is so pushy, I wonder if he has bad intentions

Haha I think that was one of Bridey’s top annoying moments in the book. And yes it’s heavy on technology and scientific explanations that it can get confusing sometimes. And about Trent, I’m not going to spoil anything. Just wait and see. 😉

Thanks for the nomination! I have 6 or 7 tags (or award nominations) to do. Why does a day have only 24 hours?! LOL I have to confess that it’s taking me a while to get all of them done, but I’ll get there! I totally agree with your second advice. When you follow a lot of blogs, it gets harder and harder to have the time to do more than skimming, I’ll try to stay away from the generic comments. 🙂 Loved your post!

Thanks! And you know, you don’t have to get all the tags done right away. I write them all down and only get a few done each month. I noticed the tags really helps connect bloggers to find new followers or to follow. I look up the Stats for this post, and WP shows that there were 6 clicks to Pierina Reads who I gave a shout out to and 1-2 clicks for bloggers that I nominate/tag. I’m a believer that there are benefits to these tags 🙂

Congratulations and thank you once again! 💜
I do agree with everything you said. I’ve been incredibly behind on book blogging and reading as of late and sometimes there’s just not a lot of time… Not even to write reviews! (I have tons on my drafts that I have to finish)
But I think it’s still important to take a few minutes everyday to at least leave a like and a couple words of encouragement. I personally love interacting with others and finding new content 🙂

Thanks! And you shouldn’t feel the pressure because blogging should be a hobby and it should be fun 😊 I write down all of my tags and only completed a few each month. I don’t do them right away and I stopped pushing myself to post everyday because each post takes time and I want to use that time to read or visit my followers’ blog. I do work full time too so I can understand how little time we have on blogging 😊

That’s true! Plus, I don’t like rushing myself as I plan on having quality content, not just quantity. And sometimes I’m just not my best or don’t have the time to make it my best. That’s why I don’t post as often as I’d like. But I still manage to post what I like 😉
I definitely need a system now, otherwise I’ll struggle to get everything done hahaha. I’m glad it’s been working for you so far 😊

Thank you so much for the nomination! This is actually my first award ever 😀 so I really appreciate it! (Do I just add the badge to my blog if I accept the nomination? hehe)
I know how hard it can be to read the whole post of a blogger but I try to take the time and read everything. Sometimes this is easier said than done, so I agree that scamming is better than nothing. Also, commenting is really great and it’s an important part of the blogging experience. Thanks again for the nomination! ❤

You will save the award picture to your computer and then insert it to your post. Copy over the rules to your post and follow the rules with your own blogging story and 2 Advices. I’m glad to have the chance to nominate you for an award. You should do them. It’s fun and an easy way to connect with your followers and obtain new followers. You will realize that there is not enough time in a day to do everything and once you have a lot of followers and you want to visit them all, scanning is all you can do. 😊

Yes, I do agree with the skimming post, I aim to comment as much as possible (even though it’s not always possible) as the author did take time to perfect the post as much as they can. Wow, this was awesome!

    Thanks for the nomination!
I always try to read the entire post, but there’s not enough time in a day to read everything, so skimming is great advice!
And I often forget what I was tagged for so then I’m scrolling through all the posts to find the one I was tagged in. I’ve started to save the links so I don’t have to do that all the time..

Yeah. Definitely better to write them down or save the info somewhere because it’s too much to remember 😊 I also used to do the tags right away but I don’t anymore. I spread out and do a few each month. It works well.

Yes, doing the tags is definitely good advice. And commenting! We do put hard work into our posts! Though it is very hard to keep up with all the tags sometimes 😉 Thanks for the nomination & congrats on your award, Jasmine! You deserve it ❤️

I totally understand where you are coming from, Jasmine! I feel like I have quite a few tags/memes/awards I’ve been tagged in which I am behind on. The struggle is that if I don’t get a pingback, I often forget about them! You’re really good about ensuring a pingback occurs– so I have the Versatile Blogger award on deck. 🙂 I just wish everyone was as organized as you are about tags.

Ha! I feel like I’m always falling behind! I was just up late writing a paper, then I took an online midterm, and now I’m reading a library book that must be finished by tomorrow! (And I have to start Gilded Cage!) I am going to post the tag tomorrow with another update, hopefully. I think so far it’s all been luck. 🤔

Great Advice!! I agree with doing all tags and nominations.
I try to get them all done quickly, but sometimes it may take me awhile to get to them

You may misunderstand when someone like a post, you don’t truly know if they really read it or even look at how your post look like and just simply press like from their “blogs I follow” feed. Thanks for reading my advice. I really appreciate your comment.
