Hello Everyone! Today, I am going to do the Book Blogger Insider Tag. I was tagged by the lovely and kind Jamie @ A Little Slice of Jamie and I am encourage you all to go over to her blog and give it a browse. Jamie is the original creator of this tag. Way to go Jamie! Her reviews are really fun to read. You can feel her excitement through her words, at least I felt it. We read The Infernal Devices at around the same time and it was great to share the same views on those books.
Rules:
1.Answer the questions below
2.Credit the creator: Jamie @ A Little Slice of Jamie
3.Tag at least 5 people
4.Have fun!
1. Where do you typically write your blog posts?
Lunch time at work or after dinner at home.
2. How long does it generally take you to write a book review?
Around 2 hours. Sometimes I’m so overwhelm with the book that I don’t know where to start or what to write. My thoughts are often jumble up.
3. When did you start your book blog?
July 2014 was a random blog and somewhere in July 2016 the content focus more on books.
4. What is the worst thing about having a book blog in your opinion?
I want to read all the popular books, but I got carried away with requesting ARCs and then having to delay reading the books I want to read ARCs. Not all ARCs are bad, but those few.
5. What is the best thing about having a book blog in your opinion?
Receiving ARCs, especially in the mail and a motivation to read more. Also, to meet new friends!
6. What blog post have you had the most fun writing so far?
The awards. It’s fun to receive and it’s fun to nominate.
7. What is your favorite type of blog post to write?
I like to write reviews, awards, tags, and advice. Just what I have been doing lately.
8. When do you typically write?
Lunch time at work or after dinner at home.
9. Do you review every book you read?
No. I don’t post reviews for DNF. I also read many kids books for my son. I used to post a short review on Goodreads but now I want to keep my Goodreads account clean for just my books only.
10. How do you write your book reviews? With a cup of coffee or tea? With Netflix? Cuddled with your fur baby?
Sometimes I have a snack and sometimes I don’t. Probably more productive without any distractions.
11. When do you write your book reviews? Right after finishing the book? Two weeks after finishing the book?
I would prefer to write my reviews right after I finished reading the book, but since I read at night and finished it in the AM, I normally write it the next day.
12. How often do you post?
I want to post everyday, but time is limited and life gets in the way 🙂 so, it’s actually almost everyday.

Thanks for doing this tag!!! Side note: I don’t follow everyone who follows my blog, so you might want to reword that. I only follow the ones that have similar reading tastes as me. 🙂

I received 3 boxes of books this week in the mail, so I know what you mean about feeling like you need to read your ARCs. I have so many between physical books and NetGalley and indie ARCs I don’t even know where to begin. It gets overwhelming at times, especially when you have a bunch for the same month. I think I have 6-8 with pub dates this month. It sure is fun to get them though don’t you think? 🙂

Do you read & review ARCs before the publish date? I haven’t been keeping up with that, but I’m trying to now.

I try to read and review them before the pub date, but I have so many books right now with September pub dates, some of which have already passed, and there are not enough hours in the day to read and review all of them. I do try to make an effort when I can, but forcing myself to read them, can also land me in a massive slump, so I don’t push myself too hard with them.

Loved your answers! I’m the same when it comes to snack – I’d prefer no distractions. And also the same with writing reviews – it generally takes me a couple hours to really get my thoughts processed and organized.
Thank you so much for the tag! ❤

Hi,
I read and liked your review of Maggie Stiefvater’s Raven Boys and wondered if you’d like to read and review my soon to be released novel, Menagerie. Here’s the link:
