NetGalley Feedback Ratio .. Get Your 80% Badge!

Hello Fellow Readers! Today I would like to share with you about NetGalley Feedback Ratio. After you read through this post, you will know how to obtain your 80% badge. Good luck everyone!

Go to http://www.netgalley.com to create a username and password if you haven’t already done so. This website gives you the opportunity to read ebooks via Kindle or Kindle app. NetGalley recently offered audiobooks to those who preferred to listen to books. (More info below).

Here is how you calculate to see how many books you have to read or how many feedbacks you have to send in order to obtain the 80% badge. You can use my current situation as an example. I have a problem with the request button, so I am a little ashamed of my current situation.. haha..

HOW TO CALCULATE:

My NetGalley Profile shows:   130 Approved    70 Feedback Sent   Feedback Ratio 54%

1) 70 divide 130 equals 54%, which matches the total feedback ratio percentage display on my profile.

2) 130 approved multiply 80% equals 104 books I should read or feedbacks sent to obtain 80% badge.

3) I have already sent 70 feedbacks, so I take 104 feedbacks minus 70 feedbacks sent equals 34 feedbacks I need to send or books I need to read to obtain the 80% badge.

Additional Info:

You may think that I have 60 books to read (130-70=60) but no, I currently have 50 books to read on my shelf, which is still a lot. That being said, it looks like I had 10 DNF and therefore, I couldn’t provide a proper feedback and it was not counted toward my feedback ratio.

I have noticed that the 80% badge is not necessary to have in order to get auto-approvals from publishers. I have had my account on NetGalley for 2 years and have been auto-approved twice (one was Sourcebooks and I forgot the other) without having ever had the 80% badge. I also noticed that I lose that privilege when I don’t review the books that I have been auto-approved for. It is just nice to have the 80% badge.

80% Badge’s requirement based on NetGalley: “Members who provide feedback for 80% (or more) of their approved titles receive this badge. In order to qualify, members must have been approved for 20 titles (or more).” So, the “read now” titles will not count towards the 20 approved titles.

Review Badge’s requirement from NetGalley: “Members earn this badge based on total number of books reviewed.” There are badges for 10 reviews, 25 reviews, 50 reviews, 100 reviews, 200 reviews, and 500 reviews.

Top Reviewer Badge’s requirement from NetGalley: “Members receive this badge when 3 or more of their reviews have been added to any NetGalley title details page by a publisher. (You can see which reviews have been added on your Shelf, under Feedback Sent.)” This is how you will know which of your reviews was chosen to feature on NetGalley by the publisher. There is an orange color pencil on the book cover in the feedback sent area. When you click on the book title, go to the bottom of the page. Your review should be there.

Professional Reader Badge’s requirement on NetGalley: “Each member starts with this badge, to acknowledge your contributions in helping books succeed.”

The more you review, the more chance you will be approved.

I would recommend to download the books as soon as you are approved because they do expire. Once the book publishes, you can’t download anymore. I’m not sure if it could be earlier.

Publishers would suggest you to send your reviews in a week before or after the publishing date. If you have a Goodreads’ account or a blog, the publishers would be happy if you post your book reviews there too.

I have been invited to read many books from St. Martin’s Press and know first hand that they prefer you to send in your reviews as soon as you are approved. They stated that in their invitation emails. (I have been invited to read: Baby Teeth, Lies, The Blackbird Season, The Raging Ones, A List of Cages, The Elizas, Leave No Trace, By a Charm and a Curse, etc)

Publishers do see your NetGalley profile, so do list your stats out. If you have a blog, list how many followers you have or views per month. If you have Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Goodreads dedicated for reading, then list out the number of followers you have. I believe you have the option to choose whether publishers can see your address. It’s also good to list out what genre you like to read in case publishers want to invite you to review their books.

Publishers do have a limit on how many e-galleys they are giving out. If you want to read it, I do suggest you to request it soon. Once they meet their limit, they may only offer a few to readers through “wish for it” button.

Do watch out for “Read Now” area because there are good books offer there. I have downloaded a few highly raved ones on there and loved it. (This area, at least you don’t have to wait to know if you will be approved or rejected). I have read The Wife Between Us, One Perfect Lie, Girl Online, Furyborn, After Anna and etc.

Once a year, NetGalley host a challenge and if you join in and read a book, you will receive a badge for it.

I was informed from comments below that there’s an auto approval badge, but you will have to be auto approved by 4 different publishers to have that badge. It’s definitely hard to get.

Audiobooks: After you are logged in, click on Categories, then 5th line down on the left of your computer will let you Browse Audiobooks. There are 3 choices you can click on: Listen Now, Recently Added Audiobooks, and Most Requested Audiobooks. There are good selections of new books. I have recently read The Silent Wife by Karin Slaughter, the author’s 20th books in 20 years and it’s listed under Most Requested Audiobooks! So you click on the image of the book you want and click on Request! Then wait for the approval 😊

Again, good luck everyone! Let’s get our 80% badge together this year!

xoxo,
Jasmine

Thanks for posting this guide!! I’m pretty new to NetGalley and it’s not entirely straightforward.

I’m curious, how many books do you request at once? I requested/was accepted for about 25 books all at once, and got in over my head! My percentage dropped to 60%, but now is around 88% as I spent A LOT of time reading and reviewing! I wk be more careful with my requests, haha!

No, didn’t request The Date, requested The Affair today, waiting to be approved. Bookouture usually approve me so I only go with them, I want to read all their books! I liked St Martin’s Press but they approved me once, denied once and 1 pending so I don’t dare anymore! I LOVE NG so much, reading there makes me happy! 🙂 93% feedback ratio at the moment. 3 left on my shelf. Enjoy The Date 🙂 Just finished Silencing Anna by S. Mitchell (3P Publishing), really good, you should request it! And by Bookouture The Secret, The Silent Sister, The Day I Lost you, all good!

      Hey Jasmine,
Pretty sure the 80% badge doesn’t exist anymore because 56 approved now, even if like 25 were “read now” it’s over 20 approved and still no badge! Doesn’t matter I know, just saying!
Happy right now, 10 on my shelf, meaning feedback ratio drops to 82%! Everything I read is really good 🙂

Hi Maryline. I’m sorry NetGalley didn’t grant you your 80% badge. I’m not sure why that is because I do see many Goodreads profiles and bloggers showing their 80% badge. That’s awesome that you read so many books and are loving them 🙂 Maybe you could send NetGalley a message to ask why?

60 approved now, feedback 80%, still nothing, maybe they don’t do that badge anymore 😉 Yes I could sent NG a message but where? What email? Thanks for your info and help 🙂 Still so happy with all the books on my shelf 🙂 I never enjoyed reading so much!

No reply with the “submit request” form last weekend so I did email them and got a reply within hours!
Here it is as it might help your readers if they didn’t get the badge either!

                “Hi Maryline,

Thanks so much for letting me know and I apologize it is not updating. This is an issue we are aware of and our dev team is currently working on a solution. We do hope to have it resolved as quickly as possible and I’d be happy to let you know when we do!”

I’m glad you contacted them 🙂 I hope they will fix it soon. It’s nice to get all the badges since they are offering. It helps to get approvals on new ARCs. Any books you really loved lately?

They haven’t fixed the badge yet. Got the 50+ reviews badge now 😉 Recently read Good Girls like it dirty by Carmen Falcone and loved it, I read her before and liked it so tried it again. And of course Bookouture’s (authors) Keep you safe (Gilty Little Secrets), The Affair… but they weren’t my fave! Now reading Dangerous Girl, then Taking A Shot. 8 on my shelf 😉 Some pub in Dec & Jan, I read by order of pub, not by time on my shelf.
Bookouture’s authors I really loved Silent sister, the secret, the day I lost you.

Since you have 50+ reviews badge, you could try out for a better publisher.. penguins, berkley, viking, st martins press, simon and schusters, macmillan, harper, minotaur, scholastic, etc?

In order to qualify, members must have been approved for 20 titles (or more). ” I see you are qualified for the badge. You will get it.. soon. It’s just that, there are so many NetGalley members, it may take time to process.”

Thank you for the info, Jasmine. Actually, some of the 24 books were “read now” and not a request so that might be different then! I guess it’s for soon then 🙂 A few more approvals 🙂 Or like you said just because there are so many people and it takes time, we’ll see 🙂

I was wondering who auto approved you guys? It sucks to get requests denied! I make a list of who generally says YES to me and who denies me (Simon & Schuester) so I don’t request again! I’m organized! I’d like to get auto approved again so I don’t get denied requests at least by those publishers 😉

I’ve only been on NG for a few months and so far :
    – 96% feedback sent (100% everytime I’m done reading and reviewing everything on my shelf).
    – auto approved by 1 (BooksGoSocial)
    – 10 feedbacks chosen as “top review”

3 badges but still not the 80% feedback, I was told it was after 20 reviews and I’ve reviewed 23! So, when do we get that badge now?

Thanks for sharing your auto approvals and other info,
    Maryline

I don’t remember who was the first one that auto approved me but the second one was Sourcebooks. This publisher is bigger than some and the most hyped book from this publisher currently is Furyborn (YA Fantasy).

Yes, there is an auto approved badge after being auto approved by 4 different publishers. In the end around half the books I read and reviewed were “read now” so the 80% badge isn’t for tomorrow, I need around 7 more approvals (still 5 pending!!!) 😦 Being new and all I know I don’t have many badges and won’t for a long time and it’s fine 😉 Publishers can still see my feedback ratio is over 90 %. I don’t request many books now until I’m done reading and reviewing so it doesn’t drop again 😉
Glad to hear I’m not the only one excited when I’m approved and you don’t get annoyed when denied me I get kind of pissed off for 5 minutes haha. Yes, there are other books to read!
I’ve read about Sourcebooks’s preferences and I feel like they would deny requests from me. Oh well, I love reading, I love NG (and read even more now) but it drives me nuts 😉

That auto approval badge is a difficult one to get! I don’t think I have seen that badge yet! One time I sent in my review to Emily Bestler from Atria Mysteries and the publicist liked my review enough to send me a thank you email and I reply back asking for an auto approval because I like most of their books but he said auto approval is very rare and it’s not to be given out easily. But if you don’t like the publisher that auto approve you, it’s better to spend time reading books you like instead.. the more you read the more you will be approved and then better publishers will auto approve you. Don’t feel pressure into reading books you don’t enjoy 🙂 Since St. Martins is easy to a approve, read theirs more and they might auto approve you 🙂 I liked many of St. Martin’s books. It’s a big publisher and their books often are better reads 🙂

In a way being auto approved by 4 (to get the badge) is too much, you can’t possibly read that many books or you can’t request from others as you don’t have time to read all that so they remove the auto approval so it’s a waste of time 😉 Auto approved by 1 is nice. I will read at least 1 more from them and if it’s still not great I give up, yes I’d rather read books I really want, if they remove the auto approval their loss haha. It’s nice one publicist thanked you for your review by email! Some people are nice! Too bad for the auto approval, sorry!
Just finished Bring Me Back and reviewed it and got the 25+ badge right away so it’s automatic so the reason I don’t have the 80% badge is like you said “20 approvals or more”, I got 27 but half were “read now” so it doesn’t count! But yes I’m in no rush now, enough books to chose from, the badge will happen when it happens, in a few weeks. You say Martin’s Press has good books, I loved Bring me back so will request from them again 🙂
I usually read 2 or 3 books a month before I joined NG now I’m at almost 2 per week 😉

Hi Jasmine, 34 approved now but still not the badge yet always over 80% feedback sent, I guess a lot of my early reads were “read now” so it doesn’t count. I’ve been approved twice today, feels good 🙂 But also denied twice last week so 😦 Feedback sent always around 88-95% as I review as soon as I read then hit almost 100% as I always have at least 2 more books on my shelf.
St Martin’s Press denied my second request 😦 I thought they would approve me again but nope! Bookouture did approve me again 🙂 It’s such a rush to hit that request button then wait for a yes or no! Only NG addicts can understand 😉 But I have enough books to read, at the moment 3 on my shelf and 1 currently reading. Still many requests pending and “wish for it” at least 20 times since I joined.

Have you been granted for any wishes? I’m not sure why they haven’t given you the badge yet. You seem to qualify 😊 but hopefully without the badge, you will still request and read more? Publishers can see your 80% without needing the badge to prove it but I know it’s nice to collect it. Have you thought about creating a blog? With a blog, you will be approved for more books than without a blog. So, consider that and check out wordpress because it’s pretty easy to use. I always smile when I’m approved so it’s definitely addicting to request 😂

No wishes granted yet, I’ve hit that button at least 40 times 😉 I know the 80% badge isn’t that important, as you said publishers can see my ratio (right now 92%). I created a blog years ago, about my knitting clothes, then stopped because it took time to get people to notice and follow the blog. I’ve had a blog on blogspot for over a decade (about my poetry) but that’s about it. On twitter, Insta… I have around 1,500 followers so it’s good and on Twitter it says my tweets earn over 5,000 impressions a week. I use Twitter a lot (even have verified accounts of celebrities follow me). Only NG addicts can understand the smile when we get approved 🙂 I just feel like requesting so many books at once!

I just got approved for The Date from Bookouture and For Better and Worse from Mira. So I’m down to 84% now. Did you delete your blogs, poetry and knitting? You could just start posting your reviews on there and then share them on twitter.. I guess it’s more work but I think having a blog gives you more access to books. Otherwise, if you could post your reviews on Amazon in addition to Goodreads and twitter, then add the links to your netgalley review so publishers will know that your review give their book exposures.

40 approved now, still no badge but I tried to count I think I need 4 more to get it as many of my early reads were “read now”. I requested For Better and Worse weeks ago, still pending so it’s a no for me 😦 St Martin’s Press approved me once, then denied me, now 1 pending. Bookouture approved me 4 times 🙂 With 5 on my shelf now at 88%. Didn’t delete my blog but it was only about poetry (did delete the one about knitting), don’t know how many followers… Many on twitter so it’s good. I check publishers’ “approval pref” so I don’t request if they require a blog. Still many to choose from. I think my Approval/Declined ratio is around 60% approval so not great but oh well. Still new 🙂 I don’t need to get 100 approved books to be happy, always at least 2 on my shelf, that’s good. My NG account is linked to my Twitter and Goodreads so links are added automatically 🙂 Then I also tweet about the book and mention the publishers and author and get many RTs and authors thanking me! I just try to pace myself and not look at the new books on request everyday! I don’t want to request more than I can read. I hit the “wish for it” a lot though (at least 50 times now) 😉 Still nothing granted!

Hey, I LOVE reading! I have over 1200 books (paper books) and in Feb started reading ebooks and joined NetGalley. I requested 4 right away and 2 were approved! so then my feedback ratio was 0% as I had 2 books to read and no reviews! I since then read and reviewed them and was at 100% and then requested more that were denied! 😦 I wanted to improve my approval ratio so found out the “read now” part of the site and found some good books there!
I don’t request (or “read now”) books to get ratio, I do want to read them and only ask (or read now) books I’m interested in and review them! I read like one book per week, sometimes more!
With the “read now” at least I can’t be denied and I did review and got a great ratio and decided it was smarter to only request more after I was done reading because at first I would request like 10 books in one day (before I knew you had 54 days to read them!) and my ratio would drop as I can’t read and review everything at once!
Then some publishers really liked my reviews and made me a top reviewer so I earned that badge along with the 10+ reviews.

But my feedback ratio has been over 80% for over 2 weeks and I still don’t have that badge, why??? Just wondering!
I already have 3 badges but was wondering how come not that one? I was at 87% last week and 94% now!

p.s : sorry for my English I’m from Europe!

Your English is excellent!! I do read a few books in the read now section too and they are great reads. I’m thinking you may have to wait to earn the 80% badge until you are a member for at least a month? Or more. I made the mistake of requesting many so I only finally got my 80% badge after 2 years joining. Why do you think you have 54 days to read & review? Publisher would want you to review around the publishing date, a week before or after. If it’s later, it’s not bad either. As long as the reviews are out 🙂 But do you get more approvals now after having the 10 reviews badge? You have a big collection of books!! 😊

        Thank you Jasmine!
I’ve been told on another forum yesterday that you get the 80% badge after reviewing 20 books. So it’s normal as I’ve reviewed like 15 so far even though always around 80% – 95% feedback sent I won’t get that badge until I review 20.
That website drives me crazy 🙂

I’ve only been active on the site for a few months but have requested so much and chosen many books from the “read now” section, I read a lot and love it 🙂

Well, when I download an approved (or ‘read now’) from my shelf and open the file it says I have 54 days to read it. But I found out that the 54 days starts when I download the file so when I have several approvals I download one, read then review it and then only download the next one and also have 54 days. At first I didn’t know and would download them and it was rough to read all that in less than 2 months especially when some books had over 500 pages.

To answer your questions yes I do get more approvals now. I don’t think it’s only because of the 10 reviews badge (because it’s not that much) but because I check what publishers denied me and don’t request again from them 😉 As I had about as many declined as approvals after requesting too much when I joined the site I told myself it didn’t look good to publishers so after reading and reviewing those approved for a month I stopped requesting and only read from the “read now” section so my approval ratio got higher 😉
Yep it’s an entire system lol. I’ve only been on the site for a few months but have only managed to get better ratings (both approvals and feedback sent and less declined) this month!

Oh and I guess the “top reviewer” badge helps too! 🙂

The top reviewer definitely helps! I think that you may have to download the approved books soon because they may expire. I know for sure that when the book publishes, you won’t be able to download the book anymore. You are good at refraining yourself from going wild with the request button 🙂 I don’t limit myself so much because I don’t want to miss out on good books 🙂 If I wait until I’m done with my current read, the new books I want may not be available to request anymore haha.. Also, publishers do have a limit on how many e-galleys to give out. If there’s a book I want to read, I would jump on it rather than wait. Once they meet their limit, they may only offer a few to readers through “wish for it” button. I haven’t been awarded through the wishes program yet, but then, I haven’t pressed that button often. Have you seen it? St. Martin’s Press and bookouture are pretty good with approving books I want to read. You can check them out to see if you like any of their books 🙂

Believe me it was hard to stop going wild and like you I see all those books I want to read and often it’s too late when I want to request them! But there are always more books and if I really want one I can still buy it when it’s published 😉

Oh I know, I check the publishing date and archive date to make sure I download the approved books before it’s too late.

Yes I know Bookouture, they’re really nice and I requested a book and they approved it right away after I told them on twitter I was hoping to get the chance to read it, they even answered me by private message, they’re a good team I think 🙂 I will request more from them! St Martin’s Press approved my request for “Bring me back” publishing date June 19th so that’s the one I have yet to download and read as soon as I’m done with my current book and the next one I had already downloaded (from “read now”) I always download a new file just before finishing a book cause I know I don’t need 54 days for just one book, for 3 to 5 books it’s fine I can request and download that much but not like 10 books 😉

I keep a list of publishers who approve me and those who deny me so I don’t request from those again 😉 Talking about you Simon & Schuester lol. I ‘only’ have 5 declined (for like 19 approvals) but 2 from them so they’re mean 😉

Oh I didn’t know that about publishers having a limited number of requests they can approve. I’ve used the “wish for it” button at least 5 times and never saw one of those books on my shelf so far.

            Thanks for the info 🙂

You are very organize for keeping track of who approve you and who don’t 🙂 I don’t do that haha.. I know some readers do get the book they wish for. The publisher usually inform you via email because they can see your email on NetGalley, along with your profile. Which genres do you read more? I do notice that big publishers are pickier in who they approve and I think that also go in hand with the limit of approvals they have so they want to choose the best ones I guess haha… Once they learn how good you are at meeting the deadlines, they will approve you more 🙂

                Hi Jasmine,
Yes, trying to be organized 🙂

Which genres? Oh well, many lol. Psychological thriller, romance for adults, cop stories, drama, some for teens (in my 30s but still enjoyed shows like Gossip Girl, 90210 even though I loved the old version more, PLL…), survivors and addicts telling their story, a bit of everything.

So, I had decided to be “smart” and tried to keep my feedback sent good as I have 2 more to read and review I’m at around 91%. I had decided it was best to avoid going crazy like when I first joined and request many books then my ratio drops and it takes some time to read them all!
BUT last night I saw 2 books I wanted to request and you told me about their quota and not wait… I get up this morning and see they were both denied 😦 Silly me for chosing 2 from the same publishers! But in the email they did say they deny people with bad ratio (which isn’t my case) and when they’ve had too many requests already!

But later during the day (it’s almost evening here) I got a “congratulations” email from NetGalley telling me a publisher did auto-approve me! YAY me!
                1 auto-approval 🙂
So, again trying to be smart in the future and not lose that priviledge, I will download one of their books as soon as I’m done with my current one and read it after I’m done with the next one I already have on my shelf, so they see I download a file soon and will read and review it within 2 weeks.

And still 5 pending, some for weeks, that’s annoying! We should be allowed to cancel!!!

I’m getting more and more addicted to NG and have to stop myself from looking at their books until I’m done with the approved one I already have 😉 So hard! I wish I could spend all day reading! 5 or 6 books per month is already good 🙂 I mostly read before bed so not 6 hours but 1 or 2, and sometimes also 1 or 2 hours during the day.

Congratulations on your auto-approval!! That’s amazing news! What publisher if you don’t mind my asking 😊 I’m the same way as you. I don’t have all day to read. Yeah read when you are auto-approved because if they see you don’t read, they will take it away. It happened to me before. I do wish that they have the cancel button too.

Thank you, Jasmine! It felt great even though I think they (BooksGoSocial, to answer your question) kind of auto approve everyone who reads one of their books! I’ve read 2 and just between you and me, they aren’t so great! But yes I did read one right away because it was nice to get auto approved and I don’t want to lose that priviledge and will read another one soon and hopefully that one will be better!
Now reading one (approved) you already read “bring me back” then another one on my shelf then I can go crazy and “request” again 🙂 Also, since I joined in Feb I think I “wish for it” like 10 times, at least those can’t be denied! Maybe 1 will be on my shelf some day!
So many books I’m interested in! But I get so excited because the summaries look so good then when I actually read I’m a bit disappointed, I don’t know if it’s like that for you too!

Right now : 96% feedback sent (100% everytime I’m done reading and reviewing everything on my shelf) – auto approved by 1 – 10 feedbacks chosen as “top review” – not bad in a few months, I’m happy 🙂
3 badges but still not the 80% feedback even though I was told it was after 20 reviews and I’ve reviewed 23! When do we get that badge now???

So, almost also the 25+ review badge (for next week). I’m just so addicted to that site, I love reading so much and read even more now!
It’s silly to feel happy or angry over an approval or deny, I admit it but I guess about everyone on NG feels the same! 😉
I’d like to be auto approved by at least another publishing house. I don’t care about the badge (you need 4 auto approvals I think) but it feels nice to know you won’t be denied a book you really want to read. Can you, Jasmine, and others tell me who auto approved you (so me it’s BooksGoSocial), maybe it’s publishers I haven’t already requested from and once I do and review maybe someone will auto approve me. It just makes me so sad when I get a request denied, and I know it’s silly! 😉

                      Thank you!

Are you saying that there is an auto approved badge and that we are required to get 4 auto approved to get that badge? I haven’t heard of it yet. I do get excited when I’m approved too. I don’t get angry when I’m denied because I do have other books to read anyway 🙂 One time I got denied and then later I got invited by the publisher to do a blog tour. Turns out, I don’t enjoy reading that book.. haha..

Here is what my 80% badge says, “Members who provide feedback for 80% (or more) of their approved titles receive this badge. In order to qualify, members must have been approved for 20 titles (or more). ” I see you are qualified for the badge. You will get it.. soon. It’s just that, there are so many NetGalley members, it may take time to process.

Thanks for the tip on the auto-approval. I just got auto-approved by the first publisher last week. I think I need to read the book soon. I hadn’t thought of that.

Getting the 80% is hard. I have gotten there twice but it didn’t last for both times because I immediately request for a number of new titles when I reach the target. This is an informative post. Thanks for sharing.

I’m totally like you! And there’s that excitment when you request several books and are waiting to see if they approve or decline! And you really do want to read those books you chose them because they look so interesting!!!
To improve your ratio go to the “read now” part of the site, but only choose ONE book and not 10, read it, review it, your % improves and as you can’t be denied your approval % improves too!
I’ve only been on NetGalley for a few months and it was hard at first as I didn’t know you only had 54 days to read a book so I requested like 10! Of course with my % being 0 only a few approved me but still it took a month to read them and review them then I requested more and more and my feedback ratio would drop when I would get approved…
But now I’ve had over 87 % last week and 94 % now and still not the 80+ badge! Don’t know why??? I have 3 badges as I’ve had over 10 reviews and been a top reviewer 4 times (3 requiered for the badge) but don’t know why not the 80% badge, oh well.

Just wanted to say as someone who LOVES reading too I know what you’re going through! Wanted to tell you to do like me to improve your %, just my advice as it worked for me. Even though all those titles look good to you only request 1 (or 2) when you’re done reading the approved ones and you have reviewed them. Then you have 100% If you request when you have 50% publishers might denie your requests..

Just wanted to be helpful 🙂 Good luck! 🙂

Wait, are you saying that you were auto approved and then you lost that auto approval if you didn’t send the review??
I know a girl who had a blog sth like 5 years ago when Goodreads was still a new thing, not that many bloggers in the blogosphere and probalby Netgally didn’t have that many members.
She got auto-approval years ago from HarperCollins and she still downloads their ARCs even though her blog is dead and she often doesn’t even review on Goodreads (her reviews are often 2-5 sentences). I suppose she never got off-auto-approvel.
I like to say that I’m not a jaleous person, but sometimes I do feel a bit envy when I think how I never got approved from HarperCollins Children and yet some have it and abuse it.

Is that what you’re working on now? Getting those 34 read?
And if you DNF a book, it doesn’t count against you? Really? What do you do…just write DNF in the feedback? I have four right now, so my feedback is at 83%, and I refuse to request anymore until I read one…but it’s interesting to know that if I don’t like something, I could do that…if I’m understanding correctly.
    I have a 10 review badge, but I’ve done 20+ so I guess it probably goes 10, 50 (like you have), and 100 reviews…(maybe 75…idk).
I’m glad I could help with your NetGalley account…I hope everything is going well on Edelweiss too…any other books you’re reading? I got The Thousandth Floor from the library bc I requested it first, so I’m reading that one ASAP…what are you reading right now?

No. I will not be strict and only read ARC this month. I have 10 library books that I really want to read. The DNF ARC, some I give a short review inform them why I couldn’t finish and others I just take off from my shelf. I didn’t notice any changes. I have 4 books on Edelweiss, but haven’t started on any yet. I am planning to start on the thousandth floor tonight.
