Hello book bloggers and book lovers! Today, I am pleased to announce that I have been nominated by Lara at The Heathen for The Book Fests Award! Thanks Lara! As always, please check out her blog for book reviews, rants, info, etc. Her rants are really good! The Book Fests Award is for the blogging bibliophiles. It is an award in recognition of your awesome blog and your love for books. Please follow this link The Book Fests Award for more info.

2 – Answer the award questions that will be listed below.
3 – Write a Fifty Words Story, because it’s fun.
4 – Award five or more bloggers with this Award.
5- Ask them a question of your making, you’ll like them to answer.
6 – Put up the award image badge on your blog via image widget.
AWARD QUESTIONS:
1. A book you started but never finished…but want to finish. What stopped you from continuing to read it?
2. What elements attract you to a book, which makes you need to read it?
3. Which books do you prefer, e-copy or hard copy?
4. What book are you currently reading or going to read next?
5. Is it fair to judge a book by its film?
6. What book did you badly judge by its cover and ended up loving?
7. Which book character have you felt the most kin with and able to relate with?
MY ANSWERS:
1. A book you started but never finished…but want to finish. What stopped you from continuing to read it?
Infernal by Dan Brown. I was reading out of sequence because I didn’t know it was in a series. I have since purchased all 4 books of this series and need to start on it soon! (I have to copy your answer Lara! haha)
2. What elements attract you to a book, which makes you need to read it?
The beautiful cover.
3. Which books do you prefer, e-copy or hard copy?
I like hard copy books. I love to feel the texture of the pages. I like holding it on my hands. I saw Six of Crows on Overdrive but I am waiting to see if I can find it at the library first before settling for the ebook.
4. What book are you currently reading or going to read next?
I am currently reading Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. I will have the review up today or tomorrow!
5. Is it fair to judge a book by its film?
No, because everyone have their own interpretation after they read the book. A film is based on the director’s or film maker’s opinions of the book. We don’t always agree with each other’s opinions. The current hype series: The Raven Boys Cycle. It’s not my favorite but I have seen many people adore it.
6. What book did you badly judge by its cover and ended up loving?
The Hunger Games. I bought it based on the hype and then I thought the cover is not that great. I didn’t read the book until a year later after I bought it. How sorry I am.. I’m missing out on good books by this way of judgment.
7. Which book character have you felt the most kin with and able to relate with?
I must have some, but I can’t recall at the moment. I need to write down on my many cute notebooks that I couldn’t stop hoarding.
Extra question to answer from Lara @ The Heathen:
What made you fall in love with reading?
I get to discover the secrets of the universe through many peoples’ eyes and imaginations.
My Fifty Words Story:
Looking at the sky, wondering how to live many lives in many different worlds. Each person only have one life to live and it is just not enough. He found a portal that could take him to different worlds. He gets to live one year in each world of his choice. He travels through light. His first choice is going to school at Hogwarts. His first time to fly on the broom and play that game, the feeling of excitement in him almost makes him lose his balance.
NOMINEES:
Lair of Books
Flavia the Bibliophile
llady literary
What Emma’s Reading
icebreaker694
Maya the Book Explorer
My Extra Question:
How do you feel after you finish reading?
Hope we have more in common than just our love for books! 🙂
xoxo,
Jasmine
When I finish reading, I am always so happy! Sometimes I am super out of it and it takes me a bit to gather my thoughts! And I hoard cute notebooks too!!! I just can’t stop buying them! I just promise myself that I will eventually use them all. 🙂 I keep finding cute book-related ones on Etsy and I just know that one day I’ll just buy so many.

Yeah me too. The book that I just reviewed today, I was giddy when I read it. I’m glad to wait until today to write the review or else my review would be incoherent haha How’s your read on Clockwork Princess? I’m reading it now. Also, I picked up the Magnus Bane Chronicles yesterday from the library. I like him. I think I will read about him before starting on TMI.

The 50 word story rule is fun. At first I thought to say I’m a reader, not a writer. But, whatever, just write what comes to mind. It’s fun 🙂

I didn’t review it I think, even if I did it would have been short on Goodreads I’m a lazy reviewer

A short one is easy to read. I enjoy reading and writing short reviews. 🙂
