Hi Everyone! Hoping you all have a wonderful day today! Hope you had a good month in July as well. This is my first post for the monthly wrap up. I thought to start with this month because there was a lot going on for me. If you done one, do post your link in the comment section below. I enjoy looking through it.
Books I read in July:
This list is definitely the longest for me to read in one month, if ever. I have this blog to thank for because I am encouraged to read more. Please click on the link of each title for reviews on the book. Have you read any of these books? I really enjoyed The Infernal Devices series. The Raven Cycle is not my favorite. The covers are awesome, but the first two books are an okay read for me… The books through NetGalley were good too. Many thanks to the publisher, the author, and NetGalley for the ARC.
1) The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater (book 1 of The Raven Cycle)
2) The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater (book 2 of The Raven Cycle)
3) Solace by Therin Knite (ARC through NetGalley)
4) Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare (book 1 of The Infernal Devices)
5) Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare (book 2 of The Infernal Devices)
6) Throw Away Girls by Jennifer Vaughn (ARC through NetGalley)
Blog Award Nominations:
Thanks again to Shouni at Through the Book Portal and TeacherofYA for the blog award nominations. I have never had two in a month before so thanks for making this girl happy :-). Follow the link below to get to know more about me!
July also marks my 2 years blogging anniversary. Where did the time go?! I can’t believe it. Last year I read 33 books and so far this year I read 18 books. I feel I read a lot more than I used to but I’m sure that is much lower compare to you all. Thank you everyone for following me back. I really appreciate us sharing our book interests with one another. I learn of many great books to read from you all.
xoxo,
Jasmine

I am going to tomorrow! I didn’t start my blog until mid month so I think it would be good so I can see the books that didn’t get put on the blog yet. That, and my Pokémon Go tag! I’ll be busy tomorrow!!

I haven’t read a single one of the books you’ve read but Solace looks interesting. Anything a die hard fantasy lover would like? (I do read non-fantasy from time to time.)

The first 5 on the list are fantasies. If you don’t care for little to no romance, Solace is a pretty good read, but if you like humor and puppy loves like me, The Infernal Devices series is fun to read. 🙂

I read City of Bones, but that book made me not wanting to pick up Cassandra Clare’s books. It wasn’t at all what I thought it would be

I haven’t started The Mortal Instruments series yet. Sorry you didn’t like it.

I think it got over hyped. The same thing happened with Divergent

I haven’t read Divergent. Have you?

The whole trilogy is on my shelf, but I’ve only read the first two. I think the first one was okay. The second not as ok and then I didn’t pick up the third. Plan on reading it since I bought it though 😛

You know what, funny that we are alike in this. I do own the series too, for more than a year, but haven’t read any books yet 😀 I bought them based on the hype.

I’ve learnt to never trust a hype. I’m so thankful I found Throne of Glass before I knew people were hyping it up
