Cress Review

About: Cress is a book 3 of the Lunar Chronicles written by Marissa Meyer. Book 1 was Cinder and book 2 was Scarlet. There is a book 4 coming soon this November 2015 and it will be called Winter. Cress is based upon a fairy tale book character of Rapunzel. This book was published in 2/4/2014 by Feiwel & Friends and the genres are young adult, fantasy, science fiction, and romance. This book has 560 pages. Here is my review on Fairest, which is about Queen Levana.

My Experience: I started reading Cress on 9/27/15 and finished it on 10/4/15. I really enjoy reading this book. I enjoy the length and the different character’s point of views. I don’t particularly enjoy the desert scene because there’s no action and heart pumping events. I like the witty chat between everyone. I like their positive attitudes and how talented they are. I stayed up to 1-2am every night reading this book. I enjoy everyone’s humor. Since Cress is a book 3 of the series, a lot is happening. After finishing each chapter, it took a lot of self restraint to put the book down and go to sleep. I just couldn’t wait to know what happens next and would read on and on. At this point in the series, I feel pain to the wait until I can read book 4. I highly recommend the Lunar Chronicles to everyone. Cress is super cute and I like her character most. The cover of this book is cute too. I admire that she’s so smart and clever, all of which is self-taught. I admire her independent to survive.

Pros: page turner, couldn’t put it down, fast paced, dystopian, fairy tale, science fiction, fantasy, humor/witty/talented characters

Cons: very few dull moments but it’s short lived

I rate it 5 stars!
